My first official “tourist-y” activity since arriving at the Windy City is visiting the Chicago History Museum. It was a fun and educational introduction to Chicago.

Although Rom told me about it before, I learned more about the unfortunate Chicago fire.

I absolutely enjoyed the room filled with vintage fashion.

Plus the hall with a bunch of more vintage items on display such as bicycles, toys, hats, and sports gear.

There’s also some naughty history going on. Playboy bunny costume!

According to Hugh Hefner, the Bunny was inspired by Bunny’s Tavern in Urbana, Illinois. The costume was made from rayon-satin, with satin bunny ears, cotton tails, collars with bow ties, cuffs with cuff links, black sheer to waist pantyhose and matching high-heeled shoes completing the bunny image. The bunnies pin their name tags on a satin rosette over their right hip bone.

An ACTUAL (super old) train was also there for the ultimate throwback experience.

We also visited a gallery filled with beautiful black and white photography.
